Clarence R. Roy, Sr., 74,of Hampton Hill Court,
peacefully transitioned into eternal life on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born in Harrisburg, son the late William and Adelaide (Jackson) Roy,
a U. S. Air Force Veteran, retired from Sears and Roebuck, a member of Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church,
where he served as a Deacon, with the Laymenís League and the Menís Chorus
In the community, Clarence was a member of Harrisburg Riverside Optimist and Harrisburg Branch of the NAACP,
was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and was a former Reel Street Neighborhood Leader.
He leaves to celebrate his life, his wife, Lucille W. Roy; his daughters, Karon Ushery and Patricia Void;
his sons, Clarence Roy, Jr., Michael Roy and Jeffrey Roy; his stepdaughter, Shelia Prunty;
his sisters, Rebecca Alridge and Evelyn Tonsel; his brothers, Edward Roy, William Roy, Jr., Harold, Reginald and Timothy Roy,
all of Harrisburg; his 14 grandchildren; his 10 great grands and a host of other relatives and friends.
Clarenceís life will be celebrated Friday, January 16th at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary of his Church, 2447 Green St.,
with viewing at 9:30 until 11 a.m. and burial on Tuesday, January 20th at 10 a.m. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
